Introduction

I have been an artist for many years and have always taken a great interest in all aspects of Art, and arts and crafts generally. I also do wood turning, but painting is my first love.

Becoming deeply involved with every painting and putting part of myself into every work of art gives them life and feeling. I want to give a lifetime of pleasure to everyone who buys my paintings, whether they are originals or commissions of a specific person, view, place or object.

Paintings can be made from photographs old or new. If it is a portrait of a person or pet that you want, please send more than one likeness and be sure of the pose you want.

You might want a traditional portrait or a painting showing a favourite place, a workplace or sport and leisure. Maybe you will want a painting of a favourite hobby or pastime. an angler with a prize fish or fishing. Perhaps in your football or rugby kit, racing leathers etc.

Commissions are undertaken or a wide variety of paintings. You can have a favourite landscape, seascape or your house, church or any building including castles. Perhaps you would prefer a painting of your car, motorcycle, boat, aircraft or even a steam engine. In fact anything made.

In many cases you can specify the above without a photograph. For instance The Flying Scotsman railway train, a particular car or bike, or even a spitfire. Or a picture can be found and with your approval a painting made from it. Sailing ships that pre-date the camera require more research. Unless preserved as with HMS Victory or The Cutty Sark. I am not keen to copy original paintings, though I can.

Coloured paintings can also be produced from black and white photographs, with the colours to information provided by clients.
